I am interested in putting a Solarium into my home. I am wondering whether there is anything different about the foundation which I should be aware of. My lady likes to pot plants and I would like to have a spot in this room for that as well. Any information will be helpful.

To watch for glass that is rated for a solarium minimum standards, make absolutely certain that as a minimum your windows meet or exceed:

(Side Windows) 56% or less of Visible Transmittance (Glare), 29% or less of Solar Transmittance, 13% or less of Ultraviolet Transmittance, -8 degree fahrenheit minimum condensation temperature, 57 degree fahrenheit minimum interior temperature at 0 degrees fahrenheit external temperature, 79 maximum of relative heat gain, .25 maximum U-Value, 4.0 minimum R-Value

(Roof Glass) 16% or less of Visible Transmittance (Glare), 10% or less of Solar Transmittance, 7% or less of Ultraviolet Transmittance, -8 degree fahrenheit minimum condensation temperature, 57 degree fahrenheit minimum interior temperature at 0 degrees fahrenheit external temperature, 39 maximum of relative heat gain, .25 maximum U-Value, 4.0 minimum R-Value
