Do you all know that it is really hard to secure our home from break-ins? I suggest one of the good ideas is having a good lighting. You can mount floodlights or spotlights on the corner of your house to flood the walls in all directions. Such lights are inexpensive, relatively easy to mount and highly effective in reducing break-ins.

I have installed some lighing in some very important and strageic places around my home. I think this is the single best thing that I have done to make my house more secure. I did have some help though. Here is a website that might help you.

Well, you can use metallic doors or very good windows... Also, you can install a security alarm, which can ring if someone tries to come in...

Overall I am not such a huge fan of home security as I think the issue has been taken way too far over by the media exaggerating the threat that is out there. A lot of people suggest just putting one of those "This house is protected by..." signs in your yard. That in itself will often keep people away. I do not see the point of all this high tech and complex alarm systems.

Theres plenty of sites out there that offer home Security solutions, from alarms, interior locking systems, protective letter boxes, secure door handles etc.

Just do a search on 'Home Security'

Very true. My father owns Electric Eye Systems, LLC ( http://electriceyesystems.com ) and he provides both residential and commercial security solutions.

The sad thing about home security is that it is very much dominated by a couple large, nation-wide companies. My father only has clients from the East coast of the US though.

Overall I am not such a huge fan of home aegis as I anticipate the affair has been taken way too far over by the media exaggerating the blackmail that is out there. A lot of humans advance just putting one of those "This abode is adequate by..." signs in your yard. That in itself will generally accumulate humans away. I do not see the point of all this top tech and circuitous anxiety systems.

Nice idea! Using lighting can really help but not a practical choice. This can cost a lot. Why not install a security alarm in your home?
